JOB SUMMARY

The Production Coordinator will be responsible for working with all orders received at the Facility.  Coordinates schedules and works along side Leads, Operators, and Customer Service on a daily basis to ensure orders flow throughout operations.  The Production Coordinator balances future customer demand with manufacturing capacity and supplier capacity I order to meet customer requirements.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Print and process incoming orders
  • Reviews, and updates, if necessary, work order release and due dates in relation to the demand of the customers.
  • Communicate with project coordinators sending incoming order pertaining to any questions/issues with any order received.
  • Provide the adequate volume of work orders with the correct data in order to obtain a continuous and time production flow in line with the production plan.
  • Confers with Supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates.
  • Alerts project coordinator & managers when material shortages or production problems risk to cause delay in scheduling/production/delivery.
  • Work with Supervisors and Operators to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Performs other duties as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Understanding of production procedures.
    • Compliance with health and safety regulations (constant use of PPE)
    • Two years manufacturing experience
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
    • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and other literature as required.
    • Basic mathematics skills required.
    • Good analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Must be able to react quickly and calmly under stressful situations in a very fast paced environment
    • Good social interaction skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Additional languages a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Punctual attendance to work is required. This position requires a moderate to high degree of sitting, standing, walking, stooping or kneeling, close eye work, reaching, pulling or pushing.  Good hand dexterity, hearing, and vision are considered essential.  Ability to differentiate color.  A moderate to high degree of repetitive motions using right, left, or both hands and/or feet may also be required.  Moderate to Steady lifting of up to 50lbs. may be required.  Requires wearing personal protective equipment.  Requires working indoors in environmentally non-controlled conditions.
